E-wastee! :(

I do not agree with our technology waste being taken to Ghana, or any other place just to harm them even more. Our developed country need to find a better way to recycle technology, and help out the non-developed countries. It’s a shame to watch them suffer, and be the cause of them suffering from lung cancer, kidney failure ext. Something needs to be done so that they can benefit like us, but without being harmed. Here is an important fact I came across while reading the article, “it is next to impossible to gauge how much e-waste is still being smuggled into China, diverted to other parts of Asia, or- increasingly- dumped in West African countries like Ghana, Nigeria, and Ivory Coast.”

This is a child home!

  1. I totally agree with you. It is a shame to be throwing away our "junk" to undeveloped countries. Those countries already have so much going on to stack up even more. I wish it could stop :(

  3. I think it is wrong that just because there are undeveloped countries that we can just dump all of our trash on them, e-waste needs to be delt with responsibly, it seems like america is like an older brother that pawns the dishes off on the younger siblings.

  4. I agree with you that our developed country needs to find a better way to recycle technology, and help the non-developed countries. I feel bad when I hear the thought about us being the cause of people in the undeveloped countries getting harmed and I really want something to be done about it.

  5. you bring up the idea that developed countries have a responsibility to be responsible - not just benefit from technology but also be responsible with technology

  7. I agree with Ms. Geurtz, since the US is more developed we have a sense of responisbility. How can we honestly be the the cause of what's killing these little children without having any conscience fault? That is not right at all, and like you pointed out.. the US should recycle and if they don't like the outcome they can give it to less developed countries or someone in need. Totally ridiculous..
